Online wallet vs Local wallet
-
I am totally new to burstcoin and mining. I downloaded burst wallet (win v0.2.5, NRS v 1.2.3) I have three questions:
- what is difference between Online wallet and Local wallet, When i login to online wallet it shows 19burst but in local wallet with same account its 0!
- My local wallet says "Downloading block chain (at near 70% green progressbar)" but as per my network monitor its not downloading anything and 2days already passed.
- How much internet speed needed for burst mining?
-
Whatever wallet you choose it's data comes out of a blockchain, for local wallet this has to be downloaded first ... your 19 Burst will show up in local, if blockchain download is complete.
Local wallet is always the one to prefer, it is just on your computer and more secure.Well, if you are at 70% let it finish, the alternative would be downloading the complete blockchain here:

That is faster and can transfer volume if you do not have unlimited.Mining uses not much transfer volume, maybe a few kb per hour.
Miner will just ask pool for new block every 1-2 sec. and commit a deadline if found.
Also once your blockchain is in sync, it will not need much transfer volume anymore ...

Thank you for your response and link!
if i use online wallet and start mining while my offline block chain is being downloading (800mb might take 5 - 6 hrs ) am i still get burstcoins? because there is warning in >> change reward assignment >> that it can't be changed without fully sync. blockchain!
It would be great if you explain "change reward assignment" in detail,
is it define my burst wallet where i get paid or something else?

@dreamboy334 use the online wallet to do the reward assignment - goto: https://wallet.burst-team.us:8127/rewardassignment.html and fill in the two fields for "Set Reward Recipient". It'll take effect after 4 more blocks are mined, and then you can start mining yourself.

-
@gul_darah Recipient being the pool you want to mine on, and yes, the pass phrase used to login to your account.
