mining with 2 X HDD on 1 X Wallet
-
Hello,
i have set two different hard drives (each to 300GB ) on two drifferent computers, but both with the same wallet.
both are set to mine in pool.burst-team.us all settings passed ok, i got no errors or whatsoever.
However when i check my status in pool.burst-team.us it says, that i am minind with only 300gb and not 600gb
i am quite new to this and i did it just to try, i have much more hdd power and i am willing to use it, however it seems that i have this problem and i cant find a solution. can anyone help please! Thanks in advance

I have not done this and I haven't heard of this but I just wanna ask if you have plotted your drives on different PC's or did you just copy the plots from one Hard drive to another?
-
@vamp111 I think i've already read here somewhere that is just a disply issue on the pool page, you should be mining with the 900Gb but just to be sure check if you have confirmed deadline on the 600Gb PC, and check your payments too...
-
Hi,
@jervis its 2 different HDD on 2 different PCs ,so both i have separatly plotted. @gpedro where can i check this ? i mean i already had received payments from the pool. but how can i check if its from 300gb or 600gb, as in the pool history itself is only written 300gb
*sorry if my questions are retarded, but never in my life i have done this before, mining and etc.
thx again for the help

@vamp111 just check by the dimensions of the payments... use burstcoin.biz/calculator and see how much you should get with 300Gb and then check how much you should get with 900Gb and then compare that numbers with what you are getting from the pool, just remember that burstcoin.biz/calculator gives you estimated values since you will not getting exact the same every day so maybe you could make an average per day within like 1 week of mining and you should have an idea if you are mining with 900Gb or 300Gb...
But if you're getting green lines on your two miners (confirmed DeadLine) you should be mining with 900Gb

@vamp111 Have you used the Win Client for plotting on both machines? If yes, then it is important which drive letter you used. If the letter is the same too then you probably wrote the same plots.
C:\ on 1st machine and D:\ on second machine with the same wallet is okay.
C:\ and first and second machine with the same wallet is a complete overlap. You can check the plotting range by looking at the files at X:\Burst\plots
Additionally the pool is showing always the bigger plot as the other users correctly explained here.
-
i've used the win client yes, on my both computers the drive letter is D (as its the default name of it) can i rename it now, or i must delete/plot it again but before this rename it or any idea ?
how can i check/fix this ?? i really want to understand it so i know how to do it correct and i than can use all my other hdd power, somewhat 5TB but all on 300-500 gb hdds all on different computers (i work in an office) i am willing to infest all of the computers here
thx for the info
-
@vamp111 Unfortunately you have to delete one of the plots. The smaller one would be a good idea.
Then you can change the drive letter in Windows to E:\ or whatever different and plot again.
Another way is to simply plot for another Burst Address and use the same drive letters.
-
ok so than what is the difference (in reward) if i plot from 2 drives for 1 wallet or plot from 2 drives to 2 wallets, i mean will i get the same reward combined ??
example 2 drives X 1 wallet = 60 B/ day and 2 drives X 2 wallets = 30+30 B/day
??

huh!? I'm lost. So, even if I'm using two different PCs but with the same wallet, it's worthless?
-
@jervis With the same wallet address and the same drive letter: You get the same redundant plot.
@vamp111 yes, it is exactly the same reward.

So, how can i change the drive letter? Luckily, this topic came out. I'll be plotting on another pc tonight with the same wallet :(

I'm sorry for this but I haven't found a good solution for this situation so far. I'm open for ideas.
-
@daWallet ALso, can you mine two plots with different wallets in the same pc?

This is neat. Thanks :) But we're only restricted to the letters of the alphabet for a single wallet. :(
-
@jervis You can mine plots of two or more wallet addresses on the same machine with blago's miner. Not with the jminer.
-
@jervis If you really want to plot more than 26 Drives I recommend you the GPU plotter and learn how to calculate your plot sizes by hand. ;)

I learned how to do it yesterday with the help of @haitch nice guy. :) I'm plotting right now using the manual thingy.
-
@jervis If you do it by hand you have no restrictions. Just be careful with the ranges.
The Client is more 'simple' and can't know if another machine has plotted the same range, too.

But @daWallet is possible to have more drives than 26 drives on one PC? this is my limitation with the google drives...
