mining with 2 X HDD on 1 X Wallet

@daWallet said in mining with 2 X HDD on 1 X Wallet:
@jervis If you really want to plot more than 26 Drives I recommend you the GPU plotter and learn how to calculate your plot sizes by hand. ;)
I learned how to do it yesterday with the help of @haitch nice guy. :) I'm plotting right now using the manual thingy.
-
@jervis If you do it by hand you have no restrictions. Just be careful with the ranges.
The Client is more 'simple' and can't know if another machine has plotted the same range, too.

But @daWallet is possible to have more drives than 26 drives on one PC? this is my limitation with the google drives...

OK, here comes another one!
if my current drive is already plotted! but i want to change its drive letter from D to E for example, using the disk management of windows, than should i delete the D/Burst folder and replot the drive, or when i restart the client and miner it will go well without reploting..
??thx
-
@vamp111 If you restart the client (check in the tray if the client was completely closed) and then launch the miner through the client it should make the changes by itself... You won't need to replot anything unless you want to change the AccountID in it or the nonces sequence...
-
@gpedro ok will give it a try, thx mate
-
@gpedro @daWallet so i have 2 different HDD on 2 diffrent computers but in the file X/Burst/ plots the file name is the same, does this means they will overlap, i mine with 2 different wallets ?
-
@vamp111 Yes they are overlapped if they were plotted in the same burst account...
-
@gpedro that makes sense, listen i have changed the the account there and changed the drive letter, are they still overlapped, should i better delete the Burst folder and replot this again ?
-
@vamp111 You can't change the burstID from the name of the plot file... you will have to delete the plot and replot...
-
@gpedro i did it, is all working fine now, i have 2 X 300GB + 1 X 500GB all with 3 different Wallets, i hope i start earning something so than i can plot the rest of the computers in our office :)
thx for the help mate

@vamp111 Maybe you find this helpful: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/434/run-miner-as-a-service-windows-only
-
@vamp111 no problem... and look at what @daWallet said because if its an office you could run the miner in the background and run even if any user were logged in on windows xD
