The BURST API?
-
I'm wondering if I want to put Burst as a payment in my website, do we have an API to put on website that clients can just input the details of their account in there and send the Burst for payment? Like paypal does when ordering on Ebay or something like that?

All documentation you need is included in the wallet:
https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/test
(the NXT Api documentation can be useful, too: http://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/The_Nxt_API )
Have fun. :)

sorry @daWallet but I dont understand any of those. Is there like you just copy and paste here or whatever? can anyone give out a walkthrough on this? Like I have a lottery, I think people are not betting because they have to go to google docs to fill out the form to bet and then go to their wallet to send the burst to me.
What i need is for people to be able to go to a certain site that I will host or whoever can host, then there's blanks there where they could put their bets, then another blank for them to send their burst to my wallet. is that possible? I have the idea in my head but I'm constrained to my lack of knowledge of how to implement it. It makes me sad :(
-
@jervis Sorry I'm not a web developer (and have not much time this week) but I guess someone will help you with your idea very soon. :)
-
@daWallet It's all cool. Thanks for the documentation. I hope i can relate to it as i can relate to healthcare. :)
-
@daWallet So that's the API for all the things that could be made with Burst right? If so what we have to do is collect the necessary info from a website and then put the infos in this text boxes somehow... Is that right?
-
@daWallet or maybe the marketplace, I dont know how to use the marketplace yet but is it possible that a lottery like my device (on my signature) where they can put bets and send their burst to a wallet who is hosting the lottery. It will just take two blanks, right? Is that possible?
-
So, how can we use the marketplace? I think this has a great potential for business. What do you think @gpedro?

I have been there but have a problem with the examples.
If I change this to work with Burstcoin wallet it doesnt work.
http://localhost:8125/test? requestType=getBlocks&lastIndex=1What has to be done for it to work for burst!
-
Try:
https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/burst?requestType=getBlocks&lastIndex=1
http://localhost:8125/burst?requestType=getBlocks&lastIndex=1
Should give the same.

Thanks then it was just a typo lol I assumed /test not /burst ! Thanks for the correction!

I find this conversation inspiring. I'm currently working at 110% so I cant take on another project (even though its in my wheel house) but this is the direction that builds burst. The ability to trade in burst for a tangible item or a digital good. I hope you understand you are driving the future here! To my knowledge you would be the first retail like establishment to offer an item in exchange for Burst. This is the next logical progression with major impact.

@IceBurst I agree with you man when you say that this is the direction of the future but this is not the first item being on the market... BritVR already has something on the marketplace of Burst xP

BritVR
^--- What??? Where? I want to see it... I would almost buy it just so I could be like the guy that bought the first two pizzas with BTC. Then I can cry in 5 years when I realized that my BTC today would be worth more than $5m for two pizzas.

OK so I've been shown a couple of links. Both are close but didn't meet my full requirements. Good try. The SILVER asset is an asset not a directly purchasable item because assets are limited in quantity and fluctuate in price (please don't compare it to items such as gasoline changing in price daily). The shampoo is much closer but it's private to the Burst market place. I'm thinking more like NewEgg.com or Dell.com where I can check out with Burst.

Guys, please dont forget about me. I'm oblivious to almost everything you're saying. If you make what i was suggesting or wanting happen, I am fully obliged to be your squire :) Please tell me when you have the chance. :)

@jervis you cannot just copy/paste stuff in there, you need to know what to look for and what to get from, I suggest you take a look at https://wiki.nxtcrypto.org/wiki/The_Nxt_API but If you don't know programming, at least a little, it's almost impossible to do what you want.
API calls work the same for all programming language, you do a get or post request with the info you need to send, and then you receive some info.
Right now there's no services or already built code you can use ^_^
-
@IceBurst Yes that's the future xD That's why i was saying marketplace, what you mentioned is an online store of somekind and that's the FUTURE, but if you want to be the first guy buying a product in Burst you should buy one shampoo (i think it's not a shampoo, i think it's beard products) from the man xP
@Zeus in what way what @jervis is trying to do you doesn't already made with burstgames and @luxe made with the faucet, i mean you have automated withrawals(sent) and deposits (receive) and the faucet has only withrawals (sent), what he's trying to accomplish is a deposit that carrys a message... So basically as i see things the only thing to add on that code is someway to get the message of the transfer... Am i wrong?
And @jervis i was thinking and you don't need a website to do that but sure it looks preetier (xD) when the people send you the money they can send you a message with the money, that message could be the numbers... ;P
