Starting over
-
I began to see how nothing kept working for me every other step would sink the whole idea of this been in any way a 1-2-3 step easy and start mining. I have deleted the Plots in my HD file, I would like to know if that is enough to make a new wallet account new plot and redo everything that maybe this time will work out. I don't want to give up on this just yet because I really want to get involved. Someone if possible should do a step by step video that shows how to get started and shows it fully works all the time to just go mine, that I think would be very practical and helpful.
-
I can suggest you to do things with "online wallet". That way is more easy because you won't need to synchronize blockchain.
-
@moonjeina I made a new wallet account but when I went inside it still recognized my laptop even though I deleted the plot file from my C drive. Is that ok to see even though completely new ccount and about to do a whole new plotting? If it still recognized my other accidently created accounts it might also think it still has the plot done in which case will never get rid of saying accounts will never match.
-
Did you delete the plot files manually?
-
@moonjeina What I did was I went to my C drive saw a file named Plots and deleted , so I would say yes manually althought I am starting to think it didn't make any difference at all. My new account I just made now the Numeric ID does not even start with 14 it starts with 5.....
-
Ok, now you should plot with your new account, so the wallet will "forget" the old plot file and will use the new plot file. At least I hope it will be like that :)
-
@moonjeina I really hope so as well. Here I go then I will plot with my new account. Is it ok if my Numeric ID starts like that with a 5 on it? My last account I was told if it didn't start with 14something I was on the wrong account.

-
@Randomtraveler I just checked my numeric ID starts with 14, too. I don't know is it doesn't start with 14, then it is wrong or something.
I'm sure on 1 thing, which is: "your plot filename must start with your account ID."
For example:
You account ID: 1850180802985026700
Your plot filename: 1850180802985026700_400000001_206976_2688As you see, before the first "_" character, filename must equals to your numeric ID.
-
@moonjeina that is exactly where I am hving problems. No matter how many accounts I do or all the 20 steps I do I still end up not been equal on both numbers. I need help on that part
-
@Randomtraveler Hmm. Seems you need to get help from the wallet's developer. Or you can use another plotter instead of wallet's plotter.
I just checked the wallet and I couldn't see any "select this account to plot that drive" setting.
-
@Randomtraveler - numeric accounts don't need to start with 14... , it was just that the plots you had created, and now deleted, started with 14 .... It you start plotting with the AIO Plotter/Miner what account number do the plot files have? It's 14... then use the passphrase that corresponds to that account, and just delete all the others. And when going into the wallet, using a faucet, setting reward assignment use only that passphrase, and make sure their is no leading/trailing whitespace.
H.

Moved this thread to Help&Support.
-
@Randomtraveler The key is your passphrase i guess, if you copy and paste it, always make sure there is no space in front or at the end.
Your passphrase leads to your burst address (Numeric and BURST-XXX..) so if you use the same passphrase, you should not have this problems. Once you generate plots, those plots are bound to your account, you can not use them with another.
-
When you are using the wallet client and press Write Plots in bottom left corner, it brings up a screen. Here you can choose what drive to plot, how many GBs to plot and how many CPU cores to use. Also, there is a field below where you must fill out your Burst account info. If you do not fill it out, several of the characters are simply "XXXXX" I seem to remember. Could it be that you forgot to change these to match your account ID?
-
@Propagandalf Ok right now I am plotting. It asked me for how much space other than that; that's it it goes straight to plotting.
-
@Randomtraveler This was what I meant. If you have never seen this screen you must be using a different plotter or plotting manually. Remember to be specific about what software you are using, so that it is easier to help you.

-
@Propagandalf WTH...I never even bothered to changed that ever........grrrrr. So there I should put the same one as my bust in wallet if its different ok omw.
-
@Randomtraveler Let me know if it helps. :)
-
@Propagandalf Will do beause I really hope that was it and can finally start mining.
