Where is my Burst?
-
I sent 434k Burst from Polo - it showed up in my balance within 30 minutes.
1.I went to reopen my account, it has zero balance.- Asks me to post a public key but does not tell me where,
- A new wallet address shows up which is different from the one I used at Polo to send to Burst Wallet.
Anyone?
-
@nimbletoes send me your burst address that you sent the burst to from polo
-
@stupendelious I don't know you.
-
@nimbletoes if you dont want to send me your burst address than make sure your blocks are up to date
-
@stupendelious I am new to this and have no idea how to do that. My Burst was in there an hour ago, now there not.
-
@nimbletoes Okay just send me this looking thing: BURST-AAAA_AAAA_AAAA_
this is your burst address and you can give it out to anyone
then theirs your burst passphrase which looks probably something like this: hufeauijoygfubhrjuijdgqnagfhigastya9ghityuvnionacgiysdhfogj
dont give this to anyone
-
@nimbletoes sometimes the wallet do funny things because of the updating with the blockchain. But it will be there later. or else, log in here: https://mwallet.burst-team.us:8125/index.html it's a browser based wallet. I use this when my GUI wallet is fcked up sometimes. I hope this helps. :-)

Well, through no know-how of my own, they showed up with my old wallet address -
this makes me wonder wth happened? Thanks to you both for your responses.

What is @stupendelious is saying is that, your burst wallet address (BURST-RXNN-UAZZ-9Q7Z-3BE5N <---- like this... This is one of my wallet addresses) can be given to anyone.. But don't ever give out the 12-word phrase to anyone.
So, when he asked for your wallet address or for anyone that will ask your address, you can give it to them freely. They can never open it unless you give them the passphrase.
@stupendelious asked your address because he will check your transaction on the blockchain. :-)

Ok, so for future reference, "stupendelious" is on the team with Crowetic?

this makes me wonder wth happened? It's probably that your wallet is still updating with the blockchain. it happens all the time. Just make sure of the address that you're sending to. It will be there. For me, it's 100 percent of the time. I've been doing transactions for a long time now. Just make sure your wallet is updated and there will be no problem. or else, use the web-based browser. It is hosted by the Burst Team.

I don't think he is in team with anyone. I think @stupendelious is like me or everyone else that's been here for quite some time, helps each other out.

See, when you say, "make sure my wallet is updated", I have no idea how to do that.
Is there a sequential list somewhere that tells noobs how to set things up and recheck their accounts? Some of us are idiots you know ...

@jervis Thanks Fam

No one is an idiot bro, maybe noobs just like everyone when we started out. Hell, you can check my profile. I have more noob questions than you do when i started here. Seriously.
You can log in to your Local wallet instead of Online wallet. There you will see if you are still downloading the blockchain or not. :)

@nimbletoes BURST Team is all the people that contribute for this coin somehow... There is the Dev's team wich usually is known as BURST Team because obviously they were the ones that contributed most for this coin... Everybody is here to help!
With your burst address the only thing that people could do is see your history of transactions and blocks mined or send you some Burst, as you can see Burst Address is in the signature of a lot of people!
To see if you have your wallet upgraded, when you log in you have a square that tells you the NRS Version that you are using...
Right now the most recent is 1.2.6 (if i'm not mystaken) so should be this. You can allways see in the about menu of your AIO Wallet what is the version that you are using (the most recent was released yesterday or 2 days ago and could be founded in here: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/16/burst-client-for-windows-v0-3-4-all-in-one-wallet-plotting-mining/125 )
-
@gpedro Thank you. If I download new version from this link, will my Burst automatically be moved there? https://sourceforge.net/projects/burstwindowswallet/
-
@nimbletoes Your Burst exist on the blockchain, they're not associated with anything on your PC, so nothing needs to be moved. So yes, upgrade and everything will be fine.
-
@nimbletoes your Burst is not in the Wallet AIO, that is just a program your Burst is on the Blockchain, so your address will be always on the blockchain, that's the reason you can log in throught any online wallet or with your local wallet... your passphrase is not removed but if you want to make sure just copy it for some notepad... That's the only thing you will always need to have to access your wallet and your burst xD
