Hardware Specs

Hello Everyone,
I plan on buying a new desktop specifically to mine Burst. My old desktop will not work with my external drive and I do not want to run my laptop for mining. My question is what are the specs of the desktop I need in order to run my 5tb segate 3.0 usb external drive for mining? I was looking at 64 bit windows 7 or 10 (idk if it matters), 4 gb ram, and either an intel or amd processor. If anyone has any opinion on what kind of specs I need to comply with in order to get my 5 tb mining I would appreciate it. I plan on adding more capacity if I can get this 5tb to mine. Thank you

@mrusso For 5TB, pretty much anything available today will mine that with no issue (I'm doing 60TB on a five year old HP workstation). The additional capacity (after you catch the Burst Bug) is the issue - look for a system with maximum internal SATA expansion, along with max USB3 capabilities.

does the processor matter? and 32 or 64 bit matter?

True

@mrusso 64 bits it's best because almost everything today is programmed for 64 bits, but the rest i don't think it will matter for this purpose...
