Error when trying to mine
-
I've plotted an external hard drive (J:/) to mine with. The plotting finished 100%, but when I click on the Start Minnig button at the bottom of the screen, I get an error msg similar to this one: https://forums.burst-team.us/uploads/files/1471192473730-untitled.png
I have to click it away like 4 times, and then it still won't let me mine. Any ideas!?!?! I'm at a loss....

The hardest part seems to be done. Seems the client doesn't like your system somehow.
You can mine by using blago's miner directly:
Here is a nice video how to mine:

I just tried that and it's not working either. here's the error msg i'm getting now (along with conf file and J:\ hard disk path):

any thoughts? I've tried chaning the plot path in the config file to J:\Burst\plots and that didn't work either

The fix for the problem was apparently to move the "plots" folder from the default location of J:\Burst\plots, to J:\plots, that got the miner to start mining.
My only question now is how can I confirm that I am minting coins to my Burst account address? I'm mining with http://pool.burst-team.us/
is there any way to verify that?
-
@seperatis your problem was on the miner.conf on PATHS line, but you solve it the other way around xD Now for you to see if you are mining just see if in your miner your DL's are being confirmed, if they were you can check for your BURST Address or your alias on the pool website just use your browser find tool and search in there
-
Yea, I'm not seeing my nickname or burst address on the mining pools website, that's why i was worried about it.
Here's a screenshot of my mining info:

im using the pool http://pool.burst-team.us/
Before I got the miner working I changed the receipiant address to my pools address by going to localhouse:8125/rewardassignment.html and copied my pools burst address and pasted in my passphrase, after that it output what appeared to big a transaction with a long list of hashes. After that I started mining. Only been mining for a couple hours, just wanted to try to verify that I set things up correctly..thanks

@seperatis Yes you are mining but with less than a TB as plot size you probably better in pool.burstcoin.eu or pool.burstcoin.biz on US pool you will not submit much deadlines because they only accept lower DL's
-
sorry, im a total n00b. can you explain to me what the deadlines are and how they work? what is a "lower deadline"?
-
@seperatis Look at Mining 101: http://forums.burst-team.us:4567/topic/301/mining-101
Particularly "What is a deadline?" and "What is the best mining pool?"
If you want to learn more, visit Burst site(also in more than one language) in the "about" section or simply ask, we are here for you! ;-)

@seperatis no problem...So when you are mining is like each GB you have on your plot size is a lottery ticket so on each blocks you look for your lottery tickets and see how long you will take to solve that block, lower the deadline (time in seconds) closer you are to solve the block...
