@damncourier hah maybe 10 years ago I would have been passionate about its superiority. But now I'm lazy and don't have time to spend. Easily to just puke a couple lines in a file and seal it up Haha.
@rnahlawi I remeber this error, I just being able to install and let everything work properly as I described after many attempts. So I suggest you PURGE everything and follow step by step what I wrote!
Let me know if it helped
@Gadrah_ is right, that is a small amount of gb space. You can get burst with that amonut but it's going to take you a long time to do so. I recommend you giving Surfbar(ref link) a try. I produce about 130 Burst per day on Surfbar. The amount of burst depends on the current price of burst on the exchanges so the amount varies.
Hey, I think I am mining but how do I know if I am successfully mining? I'm just not getting any errors when I run the miner. But I also didn't run it with the ./run.bat command - instead I used sh run.sh. I am seeing a bunch of info with no errors. Am I mining?
Also can I mine from 2 different harddrives at different locations using the same wallet/pool?
Connection type to drive ( SAS / SATA / USB 3.0 /USB 2.x / LAN)
Type of plotter GPU (Faster GPU the better) or Xplotter (Faster CPU the better)
Top Tip: Do a small test plot first and time it say 20GB, Now multiply that time by 400 to get an estimate. Be sure to reformat your drive before doing a full drive plot.
@haitch, Thank you. So there is no way to know how many transactions we have done ever since and how many till it becomes a burst?
I turn off the machine when I leave to work. When I go home, I turn it back on.
I'm a savvy pc user. My small farm of 15TB decreased its read time from 17 seconds to 14 seconds in a few days automatically. On the pool i actually went to the top with fastest deadlines more often. I felt snug. None of it is vital. Have a tweak sometime guys there's many ways to win the blocks!
@Rexxfuria go to https://wallet.burst-team.us/rewardassignment.html - ignore the first two fields, put your passphrase in the third and BURST-PHJ5-JMZP-3EQQ-EAA2B in the fourth, then hit submit. You should get back 7-8 lines of code - this means the assignment worked. Four blocks later you'll be able to mine
its just too bad i can't get into my lost account even for the assets.
If hard drive crashes thats it.
My advice is back it up on a thumb drive in a password protected archive and hide it where only the owner knows where. In the basement, attic, or even a fake rock in the garden.
